First 50 miles are under the wheels (the wheels really have like 10k) but on the new frame at least. No creaks, squacks or any other kind of bad noise from the frame. The fork is definitely an experiment at this point but it’s straight and I can let go of the bars and it tracks without violent movement or even the slightest sway. Next pics will be the finishing of the frame and fork before I get it painted. By jove…I’ve built my first bike.

That sure is swanky purty!
Thanks Goat, she’s riding nice…I’m thinking about some rattle can rust inhibitor (or paint) down the road. Maybe red…for now I’ll ride her until the rust stops wiping off.
Don’t they make a clearcoat for unfinished steel? I thought “they” did. If not, I’m wrong but if I’m right unpainted steel looks the bomb.
Yah!!
Looks sweet. I gotta swing by & fondle it in person.
Very Nice, but way to clean. Where are the knobbies?
